VACANCY: SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Stephan UK Ltd (Deeside, Flintshire) provides Food Processing Machinery to the UK and Ireland. As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Technician.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To attend sites within the UK, Ireland and overseas
Maintenance/refurbishment of equipment
Fault-finding on Electrical Control Panels
Speak with customers regarding repair and safety issues
Work on own initiative to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Accurately complete documentation


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Apprentice trained and formally qualified
Fully conversant with electrical/mechanical engineering procedures and disciplines
Experience of 3-Phase Electric Motors
Build and fault-find Electrical Panels
Understand Electrical Drawings
Excellent communicator Some knowledge of food industry desirable
Flexible approach
Full clean UK Driving Licence
Knowledge of pneumatics advantageous but not essential
FLT Licence would be an advantage but not essential

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship In Engineering Maintenance and Installations
EAL Level 3 Award In Requirements For Electrical Installations BS7671 (17th Edition)
BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate In Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering)
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (Engineering Practices)
Level 2 Diploma In Engineering (Manufacturing Technology)
BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate In Engineering


Normal place of work: Deeside Industrial Park
Normal hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-4.30pm


Travel to customer sites is part of the role. Our territory covers UK and Ireland and therefore overnight stays are required from time to time.


Candidates should be prepared to travel and to work beyond normal working hours as
required. Our head office is in Germany and occasional travel there for training, customer trials and PDIs would be required.
